Privacy Policy
DigitalGeyser Smart Solutions ("DigitalGeyser", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and the Academia Plus platform (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Contact details you give us. When you request a free trial or contact us, we collect details such as your name, institute name, email address and phone number.
- Account details. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile identifier from our authentication provider.
- Profile and branding. The academy name, logo, tagline and similar details you add to personalise your documents.
- Content you upload. To generate documents, you upload materials such as question papers, notes, photographs and PDFs. We process these to produce your answer keys, question papers and notes.
- Payment information. When you buy credits, payments are handled by our payment processor, Cashfree. We receive confirmation of payment and a transaction reference; we do not collect or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
- Usage and technical data. Basic logs such as timestamps, credits used and error diagnostics, along with device and browser information, needed to operate, support and improve the Service.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service, including generating answer keys, question papers and notes.
- To respond to free trial requests and support enquiries.
- To process credit purchases and maintain your account.
- To operate, secure, maintain and improve the Service.
- To send service-related communications, and, where permitted, relevant updates.
3. Content you upload
Materials you upload are used to generate the documents you request. We do not sell your uploaded content, and we do not use it to identify or contact your students. We process uploads only to deliver and support the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and process the materials you submit.
4. Sharing and third parties
We do not sell your personal information. To deliver the Service we rely on trusted service providers who process data on our behalf — cloud AI providers that generate your documents, optical character recognition (OCR) providers that read text from your images, cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) that durably stores your files, our authentication provider for secure sign-in, and Cashfree for payment processing. They are bound to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us. We may also disclose information where required by law.
5. Data retention
Uploaded source files and in-progress work are automatically removed from active storage after about 7 days. Completed documents may be retained so you can access them from your history, and are eventually trimmed to the final PDF and Word deliverables. You can delete a paper at any time from the History screen. Records needed for billing, statistics and legal or accounting purposes are retained for as long as the law requires. You may request deletion of your content or account by contacting us, subject to any legal retention requirements.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to limit access to it.
7. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise these choices, contact us using the details below.
8. Cookies
Our website may use a small number of cookies or similar technologies to keep the site working and to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Essential cookies are required for the site to function.
9. Institutional and educational data
Academia Plus is intended for use by educational institutions and educators. If your uploaded materials contain personal information of students or third parties, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to process that information and for complying with applicable data-protection obligations.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
